Less than 18 per cent of people in Leicester are getting physical exercise regularly and Health experts at NHS Leicester City recommend getting active for at 30 minutes, three times a week to help safeguard against illness and obesity.
That’s one of the reasons why the 3x30 pledge campaign was launched in July 2009, a partnership between NHS Leicester City, Leicester City Council and Sport England.
If you pledge to do 30 minutes of exercise three times a week or more you are rewarded with discounts at leisure centres, exercise DVDs, T-shirts and pedometers.

By building more movement into our daily lives we can all reduce stress, maintain a healthy weight and reduce the risk of developing health problems. For some this might mean walking the kids to school or cycling to work and for others it may be a more structured activity like a dance class or gym session.
The 3x30 Pledge is a great way to get active and healthy, with only 30 minutes of activity each week! Simply complete this Application form and we will send you your own Exercise Log so you can start to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle!
Our helpful and professional support staff is always available to offer advice and guidance with your pledge, and will keep you motivated.
