Advisory Disabled Persons Parking Place

Disabled parking spaces for residents are known as ADPPPs. This stands for Advisory Disabled Persons Parking Place, and are marked out on the road with white paint outside your home.

ADPPP road markings are advisory only and rely on the goodwill of other vehicle drivers to operate. There is no action that Leicester City Council or the Police can take to prevent anyone from parking within the ADPPP marking. The Police should, therefore, not be contacted. However, in many locations in Leicester, ADPPP markings have proved reasonably successful.

To request an ADPPP contact us on (0116) 223 2138 or  traffic.management@leicester.gov.uk

Eligibility

There are a few requirements that you must meet in order to get an ADPPP:

  • You must be a blue badge holder
  • There must be a suitable location which does not infringe upon existing waiting restriction road markings
  • Your property should not have off-street parking.

The applicant must drive or regularly use a vehicle, which is registered at the address where the ADPPP road marking is requested. Proof that it is registered at the address is needed and you will be asked to provide a photocopy of the V5C Registration Certificate.

If you can provide documentary evidence that you are in receipt of higher rate of the mobility component of attendance or disability living allowance then your request will be processed more quickly.
