We have worked with Shaw Trust to make our website more accessible and have received the Shaw Trust Accessible Accreditation for our Leicester City Council website.
The Shaw Trust Web Accreditation process is rigorous and involves over 60 hours of testing by disabled web users goes into each and every accreditation, in addition to a stringent technical assessment.
They check that users with special accessibility requirements can access, navigate and read information on the Council's website.
The assessment is based on comprehensive user testing that considers a range of accessibility requirements for users with little or no vision, colour blindness, deafness, dyslexia and cognitive or learning difficulties.
