30 April 2024 - The Examination Hearings have been scheduled to take place at a venue in Leicester city centre, on the following dates:

2-4 July; 9-11 July; 1-3 October; 8-10 October; 15-17 October 2024.

A Programme for the Hearings, the Matters Issues and Questions to be discussed at each session, and a Guidance note on how to participate will be published by 21 May 2024.

9 April 2024 - EXAM 8 - Draft Schedule of Main Modifications (March 2024) and EXAM 9 - Housing Allocations and Commitments Deliverability & Developability (Excel Document - Direct Download) published.
31 January 2024  - LCC Responses to Inspectors' Initial Questions and Associated Documents published. (See Examination Documents EXAM 3 - 7)
5 December 2023 - Inspectors submit Initial Questions to LCC (EXAM 2)
17 October 2023 - Leicester & Leicestershire Strategic Growth Plan (EXAM 1) added to Examination Documents
9 October 2023 - Planning Inspectors K Baker DipTP MA DipMP MRTPI, M Hayden BSc(Hons) DipTP MRTPI and J Burston BSc MA MRTPI AIPROW have been appointed to undertake an independent examination into the soundness and legal compliance of Leicester City Council’s Local Plan
26 September 2023 - The City Council submitted the Local Plan to the Inspectorate for Examination.
