Active Leicester coronavirus FAQs
To maintain the safety of our customers and staff, we need to undertake certain measures at our Active Leicester leisure centres due to the national restrictions.
Following the government’s announcement on Monday 23 November, until we have further information and are able to confirm what this announcement means for Leicester, all our facilities including booking, will remain the closed. When we have more information on what this means for Active Leicester, we will keep you updated.
Direct debit payments and annual memberships will be frozen as of Thursday 5 November 2020. When we unfreeze your membership, the unused time will be credited, so you won’t miss out on any of the membership you have paid for.
If you had booked and paid for an activity, your account will be credited with an activity credit for you to use when we reopen.
If you have recently been offered and accepted a place, it will be held for you until we reopen. As your November direct debit has already been taken, you will receive the whole of December for free and we will not take any payment during that month.
All our direct debits are collected on the first of each month. As the government announcement on Saturday 31 October was sudden and unexpected, we were unable to stop the collection process for 1 November.
Suspensions will be extended to cover the duration of the second national lockdown.
We will continue to offer free suspensions and memberships will be frozen.

All our facilities including our leisure centres, golf course and athletics track are due to reopen, in line with current government announcement, on the Thursday 3 December. However, as the Covid-19 pandemic is an ongoing issue, we will be closely monitoring government guidelines and will be able to confirm an opening date for all our facilities via email and our website nearer the time.
On entering one of our facilities, you will find a QR code poster; please scan this on your smartphone - this will check you in via the NHS COVID-19 app.
