Markets host storytelling workshop

Published on 27 September 2017

A STORYTELLING workshop is coming to Leicester Market on Saturday (30), as part of the Everybody’s Reading festival.

Yumalicious – a healthy eating storytelling workshop – will draw inspiration from Lauren Child’s ‘I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato’ and Mitchell Sharmat’s ‘Gregory, the Terrible Eater’.

Families are invited to come along, listen to a story and find out more about developing healthy eating habits and exploring new foods. They can also browse the wide variety of fresh, healthy and affordable food on offer at the market.

The workshop takes place from 10am-12.30pm at Leicester Market. It’s part of the Everybody’s Reading festival, a series of community reading events and activities running across the city from 30 September to 8 October.

It will be repeated at Beaumont Market, Beaumont Leys, on Saturday 7 October from 10am-12.30pm.

There is no need to book for either event, and they are open to all.
