Apply to borrow a laptop or a tablet

You can apply to loan a Chromebook (laptop) or tablet from our libraries for twelve weeks. Leicester Connected is a new initiative which aims to reduce the digital divide within our local communities. As part of the loan, you can also engage in further digital skills training provided by Leicester Adult Education.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for the scheme you must:

• be over eighteen
• not have access to your own device

How do I apply?

To apply, visit a library and speak to staff.

If eligible, you will be required to sign an user agreement form. Terms and conditions that apply will also be explained to you.

Referrals

A referrals process is also in place to help us identify eligible users.

There are several referral partners such as:

• Supporting Tenants and Residents (STAR)
• Shama Women’s Group
• Leicester Ageing Together.
