Jubilee Square

With work starting on Jubilee Square; the new public space area at St Nicholas Place, bus services will be affected.

Two additional bus stops will be created along a new extended footpath on the East side of St Nicholas Circle; providing 3 bus stands. The Park & Ride and UHL services that currently use St Nicholas Place (stands PA , PB & PC) will move on to the new bus stands. Notices will be displayed at bus stops to advise of changes to the bus stop services.

From Tuesday 7th May the double shelter FA, on St Nicholas Circle, will be removed and used elsewhere in the City. A temporary stand will be in place to serve buses that currently use this stop.

From Thursday 16th May to Monday 3rd June, some bus services will need to be relocated to bus stops in St Nicholas Place.

Details are:

PA – services 203 P&R and First 12

PB – service 103 P&R

PC – services First 18, Stagecoach 48, Arriva 153, 158 and Centrebus UHL

Janet Setchfield Place temporary stand  – services Arriva 50, 50A, 51, 52 and First 70

FA temporary stand on St Nicholas Circle – services Nigel Jackson 13A, Arriva 104 and Leicester Bus 162.

Work will start from the South side on St Nicholas Circle on Monday 13th May. On Friday 31st May the first shelter will be installed. During the first week of July the 2 remaining Park & Ride shelters will be relocated to the new bus stands.
