Highway status enquiries
When purchasing a property or land, your solicitor or personal search companies will request a highway extents search to mark the boundaries.
As highway authority for Leicester, we hold information about the status and other matters relating to the highway. This information is used to answer the highway related questions within a local land charge search. In addition, we also hold a mapped record of the extent of the highway network.
A standard search costs £60 (no VAT).
We can offer no information on areas located outside of Leicester, so please ensure that the area about which you are enquiring is within the city. Check this using our online mapping system.
