Litter picking for schools, community groups and organisations

School, community groups, or organisations can borrow litter picking equipment for free, to clear up a park or open space.

What can we borrow?

You can borrow litter pickers or bin bags from us subject to availability. 

What will we need to provide?

You will need to provide us with the following information by email to LEV@leicester.gov.uk:

• Where and when the litter picking is planned to take place
• Risk assessments for the activity
• Provide public and employers liability insurance certificates

What happens next?

1. We will send you a tool booking form, so we know what you would like to borrow. We may advise you of a more suitable location if the park is being used for other activities, or anti-social behaviour is prominent. 
2. We will then confirm when you can collect equipment from: Leicester City Council, Victoria Park Lodge 2, London Road, Leicester, LE1 7RY.

Please note that independent activities are not covered through Leicester City Council insurance.
