Access online subscription services

You will need your library card number to log in to the subscription services and you may also be asked for your PIN (personal identification number). If you do not already know your PIN, you can ask for it at any Leicester library- but please remember to bring your library card with you.

  • Oxford Dictionary of National Biography - is a collection of more than 50,000 biographies of people who have shaped British history. The full version is available free, only on library computers, in all our libraries.
  • Who's Who - a source of up-to-date information about over 35,000 influential people from all walks of life, worldwide. The full version is available free, only on library computers, in all our libraries.

  • The Times Digital Archive - Contains full text digital images of over two hundred years of British and world history, as reported by The Times newspaper
