Opportunities in festivals

From catering to funfairs, bands to stalls, there are many ways to get involved in Leicester's festivals.

Tender opportunities

St George’s Day Festival 2024: stall holder opportunity

St George’s Day Festival is a family friendly one day event. In 2024 we will be hosting a small indoor, modern day medieval market. The event is relocating to Leicester’s Old Town district to welcome visitors to experience the historical elements of both the event and new location. Partnerships include the King Richard III Visitor Centre, Leicester Guildhall and Leicester Cathedral which bring exciting new opportunities and activities to the event.

There will be a program of walkabout acts and characters, street theatre, venue tours, storytelling, arts and crafts, Morris and maypole dancing plus much more. The footfall across the whole day is usually approx. 5000 and we anticipate similar in 2024.

We are encouraging traders to apply who display goods relatable to the theme of St George’s Day. For example, artisan foods, drinks traders (no bars), textiles, books, handcrafts and art. However, this is not exclusive and we welcome applications from all. Venues involved include Leicester Cathedral and The Guildhall. Stall placement will be determined after the deadline and cannot be agreed in advance.

Deadline for application: Wednesday 27 March 2024, 5pm.
