How do we use your information?

If you are homeless, or are likely to become homeless, and approach us for advice or support, we will provide support and assistance to you.

As part of this we will share your personal information (including your name and date of birth) with the agencies as needed to support you, investigate the situation, and fulfil our legal responsibilities. We will also share information with the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and local government.

We will always ensure we have legal basis when processing your data, and will ensure the processing is necessary and proportionate.  For more information about this, please see our homelessness service privacy notice or email housing options on housingoptions@leicester.gov.uk.
