Skills Bootcamp grant (wave 5)

Working in partnership with Leicestershire County Council and the Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), we are pleased to open a call of £1.7m seeking organisations to deliver Skills Bootcamps across Leicestershire.

What are skills bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are flexible training courses for adults aged 19 and over. They last up to 16 weeks and offer participants a job opportunity on completion.

Skills Bootcamps can support both unemployed and upskilling of existing staff.

What type of bids do we encourage?

We are inviting organisation to deliver skills bootcamps across the following subject areas:

  • Digital
  • Construction
  • Green Skills (including agriculture)
  • Logistics (e.g. HGV)
  • Creative
  • Textile
  • Other

These support interventions will help to support the upskilling of individuals from Level 2 to Level 5 with qualifications relevant to the sector and the job.

What funding is available?

This will be an approximately 10 month contract from May/June 2024 to March 2025 for revenue funding.

Eligibility

Any legally constituted organisation can make an application. This includes local authorities, public sector organisations, higher and further education institutions. Private sector organisations and registered charities can also submit bids and be project deliverers where they are providing a service to benefit other organisations or individuals but cannot receive support if the intention of the project is to further their own business or organisation, for example, through the purchase of equipment or offsetting additional staffing or other costs.

Bids submitted in any other format will not accepted.

Deadline for bids

Bids must be submitted by midnight, 8 March 2024. 

The call is a competitive process and we will not enter into discussions with bidders.
