Report flooding from main rivers

The Environment Agency are responsible for managing flooding from main rivers. Flooding from these rivers should be reported using the Environment Agency Incident Hotline on:

• 0800 80 70 60 (24 hour service)
• Use a postcode to check long term flood risk for an area at GOV.UK

Report flooding from ordinary watercourses

To report flooding from ordinary watercourses it can be reported to us online:

Sewers and burst mains

Flooding from blocked sewers or burst water mains should be reported to the local water company, Severn Trent Water:

Report flooding from a drain in the road or footway

For flooding issues from a drain in the road or footway, these can be reported to us online:

Groundwater flooding

Groundwater flooding is where water rises back to the surface from underground. To report groundwater flooding and you will need to contact us on:

Private drainage

Flooding caused by private drainage is the responsibility of the property owner. If you are a leaseholder, you will be required to contact your landlord or estate agent. See: Who is responsible for repairing drains and sewers - Citizens Advice.
