Shopmobility
Leicester Shopmobility offers the free loan of a scooter, powerchair, power-assisted wheelchair or manual wheelchair to anyone with mobility problems when visiting the city centre.
All new customers are given detailed instructions on how to safely operate the equipment. Staff will test you to ensure you are competent and in full control of the equipment.
Pre-booking is advised to avoid disappointment. Equipment will not be available for loan after 2.30pm to enable us to sanitise the scooters and recharge them.
Haymarket branch
The shop will also be closed every Thursday until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

How can I become a member?
Membership is free. To join the scheme you will need two proofs of identity, such as a driving licence or utility bill. You can use the scheme immediately after joining.
You must be a member to borrow a scooter, powerchair or manual wheelchair.
Restrictions
Shopmobility equipment can only be used in the area of the city centre bordered by the inner ring road. At special request, equipment can be used to attend hospital appointments at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Equipment needs to be returned to the office 15 minutes before it closes.
